Poems composed, among others, by Chaim Nachman Bialik, Yehuda Amichai, Pinchas Sadeh, Abraham Shlonsky, Itzik Manger – all these authors come from Europe and go on creating great works from the Yiddish and Hebrew language in their new homeland Israel. Most of them belong to the great modern Hebrew poets. Peace Counts project - since more than three years, a network of journalists, photographers, conflict researchers, and designers engage in the Peace Counts project. We practice peace reporting i.e. our reporter teams travel to (post)conflict regions worldwide to portray the work of engaged, credible, and successful peace makers. These models for conflict resolution origin exclusively from the civil society. So far we have been working in 25 (post-)conflict regions like Afghanistan, Israel, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, South Africa, Columbia, Sri Lanka, Bosnia, etc.. We spread our documentations in multimedial ways to reach the broad public: print media, broadcasting, internet, forum events, photo exhibitions, and educational material for school children. To promote our idea of peace reporting, we created a network of supporting organsations: Media partners who agreed to print/broadcast our documentaries Multinational partners like the UNESCO how accreditated the project as an official contribution to the international decade „Culture of Peace“ scientific partners like the Bonn International Center for Conversion, who advised us in the selection of models for peacebuilding.
